Easter

We went to Grandma's for Easter weekend and she had an egg hunt for some kids from church with 500 eggs in the bakyard.

Even with a cast, Benson found tons of eggs and candy.

When then attempted some pictures in their cute Easter outfits.

I think Reagan declared her first Easter a success.

I love how red her hair looks in this one. Now, she has lost all that hair and it is growing in blonde.

5 Broken Needles

Grandma Atkinson came for a short visit a few weeks ago and I put her to work. I have been searching baby bedding for Reagan's room since September and never could find what I wanted. These samples are a few of the ideas I had to try and make a room. We finally found a bumper pad and sheet at Target that I liked pretty well so we started with that.

And this is what we finished with. Grandma patiently entertained my many creative requests.

Don't mind that crooked "A"

I took plain wooden frames and covered them with scrapbook paper.

Grandma helped make a pleated bed skirt.

Grandma made this chair cover.

She also helped with this curtain.

Grandma also made the cute quilt hanging on the crib.

She spent much of her trip patiently trying to help me learn how to sew. Together we made this quilt also. I broke five needles all by myself while making it.

We also made this carseat cover.

My latest craft project was covering this wipes case. No needles required. :)

No more Bensons jumping on the couch

Benson jumped off the couch and landed on his wrist causing a compressed brake. He stopped crying pretty quickly after he fell and there was no bruising or swelling so I sent him off to bed with little worry. The next morning he wouldn't really use his arm for much, so we made our first trip to ER.

He did very well all things considered. The only time he screamed was when they tried to take his temperature. The cast was on for three weeks and after the first three days, it was fine, with the exception of bath time.
