Reagan's First Few Weeks

Reagan's first few weeks have been going very well. She really isn't too fussy, except for 8:00 to 11:00 at night. But once we hit 11:00 it is usually smooth sailing til 8:00 the next night.

We have lots of fun dressing her in fun outfits and taking pictures.

And playing with her hair.

These little shoes were the start of quite an outfit production.

My mom and I found these at a store back in October and thoughgt that they were so cute. After a little looking around, we found this cute sweater to match. Months later we still hadn't found a dress to go with it, so my mom ended making one. This was also the start of the cute hat that Reagan wears very often. I thought a matching hat for this outfit would be perfect. So my grandma made the hat and the matching flower for the hat.

Big Brother

Benson meeting Reagan for the first time.

He loves to hold her hand.

Most of the time, he is happy to see her. He wants to wake her up sometimes to play and occasionally tells me to put her down so I can play.

Yesterday he got really close to her face so her reflex was to move her arms and she touched his face. So he quickly said, "no hitting, baby Reagan. Mom, she needs a time out."

He hasn't tried to pick her up yet. Just lots of really tight hugs, that make me a little nervous.

He likes to "help" get her dressed, give her baths, rock her to sleep, and give her blankets. Each little task is followed by his announcement, "I am good helper."

Introducing Reagan Lynn Leavitt

Reagan Lynn Leavitt was born on Decemember 30th, 2009 at 2:48 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. and 15 oz and was 19 inches long. Brittany was very thankful that she was a pound smaller than Benson. It was a short labor with an epidural. (:

At first glance I thought she looked just like Benson, because of the big cheeks. But once the swelling went down she didn't look as much like him. Her hair is darker than his was and she has more of it.
She was very alert and attentive. She looked around for about an hour after delivery.

Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson were able to come to the hospital to meet her.

This was the first little dress that I made with a lot of help from my mom. Her darling little hat was made by my Grandma Gibson and she gets compliments on it, everytime we go out.

After a day in the hopital we were ready to go home and let her meet her big brother and two of her aunts who also came up for the visit.

Let it snow!

We were hit with 20 inches of snow a few weeks ago and Benson thought it was great!

West Virginia Hills

Back in the first week of November we visited Brittany's parents and sisters in their new home in Charleston. It was the peak of the fall colors and the view of Grandma's backyard was gorgeous.

Benson loved playing outside, with lots of room to run.
