Benson's haircut and newest pics

March

The last few weeks have been pretty busy. March has brought with it Kira's arrival, more plans for the fall, and a Spring Break split between West Virginia, Williamsburg, and D.C. It was great to see friends up in D.C., and Benson has loved having Kira to play with!

The last semester of my first year of law school is winding down, and finals are a month away. We found out this weekend that I will be spending the summer in Brussels, Belgium for an internship. Brittany and I are looking forward to spending a week at the end seeing Paris and London for our third anniversary! After that I will come back to Williamsburg to do some international law research.

Benson is doing well, and is a real joy. As his second birthday approaches, he may be more maddening at times, but he is also more precious at times than I could every imagine. He loves to cuddle and is very affectionate, loving to give hugs and kisses. He is also very thoughtful sometimes, going out of his way to help on occasion without ever being asked. All in all, he is a great son, and we love him very much!

Kira's perspective

Since moving to Williamsburg I've been able to spend lots of time with my nephew Benson and already we are good buddies. One of the funniest things I've seen him do is his: he'll often stand in front of my bedroom door calling "Kir-Kir," just waiting for a chance, any opportunity to race inside with the opening of the door. He then proceeds to run to my bed, quickly climbing onto it then helping himself into the covers. He's even been known to grab some of my magazines to look through as he relaxes in bed, my bed that is! The little guy will be happy to find that soon enough, after he graduates from crib life, the bed will be all his.

My sister-in-law, Kira, moved to the East and is staying with us for awhile. Benson loves it! All day while she is at work, he goes to her room and says Kira working. Then every morning when he gets up he goes to her door and says Kira waking her very early. He loves to play hide and seek around the couch with her and he loves going to the park with her.
