Living with Nephi
This action figure is of a prophet from the Book of Mormon named Nephi. It has been a favorite toy of Benson's during church. The other night he came downstairs after getting into my headbands and announced.....
Hard Knock Life
I have been working on this discipline theory of having natural consequences be the punishment for bad behavior. I think it sounds like a great idea, but I must admit that sometimes the natural consequences are a little tricky. For example, running away from me in a parking lot. Getting hit by a car isn't really a good way to teach Benson to not get hit by a car. However, a few nights ago this idea worked out perfectly.
We had pasta for dinner and Benson wanted to sprinkle salt on his dinner, after he saw Tristan do it. So I let him but then he kept insisting on more. I explained over and over that only a little tastes good and I moved the salt away. While I was putting my plate in the dishwasher he snuck around and got the salt. I then walked over to the table to find the entire the container emptied on his pasta. I grabbed the camera and said, "go ahead and take a bite."

He hasn't asked for salt again.

The Nursery
This is Tristan, and I'm not usually one to post on here very often since I'm usually so busy, but I couldn't resist today, since I just took some really cute pictures of Reagan.

Believe it or not, we only barely set up her nursery yesterday. Since she's just been sleeping in her bassinet, I hadn't taken time yet to set up her crib (which we took down a number of months ago so that Benson wouldn't keep claiming it was his bed when we were trying to get him into a twin bed), and Brittany was waiting on me to do that so that she could organize the rest of the room.

Here's the finished product.

(Don't mind the picture frames with no photos in them yet...)
I think this one is funny because it makes her look so tall when she stretches out. She looks like a basketball player flashing a gang sign in the picture!

I liked this picture because I think most snapshots catch babies (and kids too, sometimes) with random expressions on their face, so for me it's hard to tell what they actually look like judging only from a photo. This is pretty much what Reagan usually looks like, though. :)
